POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER
This is a must for all of our visitors. Experience a guided tour of the cultural of not only Hawaiian but Samoan, New Zealand, Fiji,Tahiti, and more. The cultural center can provide you with a driven tour through their facilities where you will enjoy an all you can eat buffet, cracking open your own coconut, and string your own a Fijian lei. Their knowledgeable staff can explain the many rituals and dances that you will see during the 150 person Polenesian extraveganza in their outdoor ampitheatre.

CULTURAL LEARNING CENTER AT KAALA
A living Hawaiian cultural learning and science center. Collections include native Hawaiian plants (varieties of taro, banana, ti) and native Hawaiian tools. 4-hour guided visits with hands-on learning activities for children including taro planting, lauhala weaving, poi pounding, traditional fishing techniques and survival skills. HONOLULU ACADEMY OF THE ARTS
Displays artwork from local artists and artists from around the world. Call 808 532-8701 for information on what's on display in their Special Showings Gallery & their theater. $7 general admission. $4 for seniors, students, and Military. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4:30pm, Sunday 1-5pm. The Academy Café serves lunch 11:30am-2pm Tuesday-Saturday, reservation required 532-8734. IOLANI PALACE
The only royal palace on US soil. An informative guided tour of the palace gives you a great insight how King David Kalakaua lived. King David Kalakaua had the Palace built in 1882 to replace a smaller house on the same grounds that was used as the Royal Palace. The Palace has been used for many purposes and the contents ended up around the world. It has since been restored, and many original contents are now on display. $20 Adults, $5 Children 5-12. PLEASANT HAWAIIAN HULA SHOW
Formally the Kodak Hula Show and is world famous for providing unique presentations of Hawaiian dance and culture for FREE. (Kodak has canceled their sponsorship effective 6/30/99.) The shows take place at the Waikiki Shell Amphitheater in Kapiolani Park. You can enjoy this cultural treasure on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-11am. Call 808 945-1851 for more information.
MISSION HOUSE MUSEUM
Located in the heart of Historic Honolulu. A guided tour of the grounds allows you to discover what daily life and work of the American missionaries was like. Explore the three remaining buildings from the Honolulu mission station, including the oldest frame house in the islands and a church made from blocks of coral skeleton (taken from Honolulu Harbor in the early 1800's to make room for the merchant ship to dock). QUEEN EMMA SUMMER PALACE
Holds an impressive collection of personal artifacts that belonged to the Hawaiian Royal Family. Admission is $5 for adults, children are free. Call 808 595-3167 for more information. Located at 2913 Pali Highway. Open 9-4 daily.
TORCH LIGHTING CEREMONY AND HULA SHOW
on Waikiki Beach every Saturday and Sunday from 5:30pm- 6:30pm. The free hula show held at the Kuhio Banyan Tree Park on Kalakaua Avenue near the statue of Duke Kahanamoku.
MAGIC OF POLYNESIA
A magical and musical extravaganza. This show combines Hawaiian dance and music with mind boggling illusions. $69 for the dinner show (Roast Beef and grilled chicken). $39 for the cocktail show. $137 for the VIP Package which includes a coconut lei, a keepsake photo, and a filet mignon with seafood medley. HAWAIIAN MUSIC NIGHTS
At the Hawaiian Regent Hotel. The lobby bar features popular Hawaiian bands on Tue-Thu 5:30-8:30 pm. There is no cover charge to relax and enjoy the music. Located at 2552 Kalakaua Avenue. Call 808 922-6611 for more information.
